The Royal Guard is famous for having the best soldiers and knights in the whole Kingdom. As their name implies they protect the Royal Family, the Palace, the national capitol of Balustrade, the Isle of Halad, and the whole territory controlled by the Ishvaak Clan, including providing the guards for Syron Prison.
While the King is their highest commanding officer, the day-to-day military responsibilities and special operations leadership falls to the High Commander. Previously, this was Solomon Ishvaak, the King's uncle, but with his retirement a few years ago, the title and responsibility has fallen to a new commander.
